Operation appeal to international professionals at the 42nd edition of the “IFTM Top Résa” Show
At the international trade fair for tourism professionals “IFTM Top Résa” which takes place from October 5 to 8, 2021 in Paris, ONMT is leading the offensive. This 42nd edition is placed under the sign of the resumption of tourist activity. This event takes place in hybrid mode, with a reduced number of participants. The Moroccan stand produced by ONMT is located at the entrance to the tour operator village.
It highlights Royal Air Maroc (RAM), Air Arabia Maroc, Atlas Voyages and Kenzi Hotels. Likewise, many other operators from all regions of the Kingdom are taking part. For Adel El Fakir, Director General of ONMT, the craze for the destination is the result of a long process. “Fundamental work has been carried out by the ONMT with all of its French partners, resulting in action plans that we have activated at the first signs of recovery. We are comforted in our approach by all the positive feedback received by the destination and the Moroccan operators “. The presence of Morocco attracts many operators. On this occasion, Axel Mazerolles, Managing Director of FTI Voyages, testifies: “We are delighted that the ONMT will be present at this show. This is important to reassure both the profession and the tourists. Now it’s up to us to play to fill the order books and return to pre-Covid reservation levels. ”
For his part, Olivier Kervella, Chairman and CEO of NG Travel, underlines: “We have been working with the ONMT for several months to prepare for the takeover and, moreover, our order books are at 80% of what we were doing on Morocco in 2019 (before the health crisis) over the same period. We are continuing our efforts to achieve a rate of 100% in the coming weeks. The demand in Morocco at our stand during these first days confirms this great momentum ”.
It must be said that Morocco’s participation in this event is of particular importance this year due to the impact of the health crisis on tourism activity and the fact that the French market remains the first source market for the Kingdom. Thus, the strategy of the Moroccan National Tourist Office is to reassure French professionals and above all to maintain contact with airlines and travel advisers in order to guarantee a rapid and lasting recovery as soon as sanitary conditions allow. It is also a question of supporting Moroccan operators in order to attract new partners and set up new models of collaboration.
Note that in the coming weeks, the ONMT will continue this momentum to promote the Morocco destination at European level by taking part in two other strategic exhibitions in major markets, namely the TTG Incontri in Rimini in Italy from October 13 to 15. , and the WTM show in London from November 1 to 3.
