The government decides to reopen the airspace from February 7, 2022 to flights to and from Morocco.
The government has just decided to reopen the air borders closed since November 29, 2021 following the rapid spread of the Omicron variant. The resumption of flights to and from Morocco is scheduled for February 7.
“To support the deployment of this decision, a technical commission is currently studying the measures and procedures to be put in place at the border centers, as well as the health protocol for travellers. The details will be announced later”, notes the press release from the head of government.
The government also calls on citizens to continue to respect health measures and to adhere to the vaccination campaign by respecting the complete vaccination schedule. “It is an act of citizenship which makes it possible to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic”, indicates the same source.
The government spokesman, Mustapha Baitas, had indicated Thursday, following the government council, that this question was discussed and that a decision would be taken shortly.
It should be noted that this decision was eagerly awaited by citizens and economic actors, particularly in the tourism sector.
