Marrakech-Menara Airport was voted fifth best airport in Africa, according to the ranking of the best African airports in 2021, established by Skytrax, an international air transport rating organization.
The Cité ocre airport was followed by the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca, which is in 6th position, according to Skytrax, which has since 1989 carried out assessments of airlines and airports around the world.
Cape Town Airport in South Africa leads the rankings, ahead of two other airports in the country, Durban and Johannesburg, which are followed by Mauritius.
Addis Ababa Airport (Ethiopia) is in 7th position, followed by Kigali (Rwanda), Port Elizabeth (South Africa) and Bloemfontein (central South Africa) airports.
To establish its ranking, Skytrax asked travelers about their experiences at airports in Africa.
The survey assessed this customer experience in its performance indicators for these airport services: check-in, arrivals, transfers, purchases, security, immigration, boarding, etc.
