Importance and Usage of Illustration in 21st Century Youth

The present study investigates the importance and usage of fashion illustration in 21st-century youth and the training methods for young fashion designers, particularly in light of technological advancements. By examining the pros and cons of computer illustrations through bibliographical research and conducting a questionnaire survey among fashion design students and professionals, the study sheds light on the evolving roles and future developments of fashion illustration. It concludes that fashion illustration, deeply intertwined with technology, remains essential for expression, communication, and cultural enrichment in society. The integration of traditional hand drawings with computer graphics offers new dimensions in creativity and efficiency. The findings highlight the preference for fashion drawings over photographs, the significant role of fashion illustration in both technical and artistic realms, and the importance of realism and visualization in the field. As fashion education evolves, there's a need to balance technical skills with artistic expression, recognizing the enduring significance of fashion illustration as a form of communication and art.
